Connect Google Sheets and Eventin

Event schedules are usually planned in a spreadsheet, while Eventin runs the event pages, tickets and attendees on your WordPress site. FlowMattic connects them: rows become Eventin events, speakers or attendees, and new registrations, completed orders and refunds are written back to Google Sheets. It suits conference organisers, training companies and venues that plan in Sheets.

2. ActionCreate Event

When Google Sheets fires New Spreadsheet Row, FlowMattic runs Create Event in Eventin with the data from that event.

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create an Eventin event for each row in the planning sheet

Add the title, date and venue as a row and the event appears in Eventin, so a season of workshops goes live without entering each one by hand.

Write the new event's ID back to its row

Saving the Eventin ID in the sheet lets later workflows update or delete the right event when the plan changes.

Keep an attendee list in Google Sheets

Each registration adds a row with the attendee's name, email and event, which the venue, caterer or door staff can open without a WordPress login.

Register a group of attendees from a sheet

Corporate clients send a list of staff to book. Each new row runs Create Attendee for the event named in the row, so the list is registered in one go.

Log ticket sales and mark refunds on the same row

Order Completed adds a sales row. When Order Refunded fires, a second workflow finds that row and marks it refunded, so revenue in the sheet stays correct.

Add speakers to Eventin from the speaker sheet

Programme teams collect speaker names, titles and bios in a sheet. Marking a row approved creates the speaker profile in Eventin.

Set up: events from sheet rows

At the end, every row you add to your planning sheet creates an event in Eventin.

  1. Prepare the sheet

Add columns for event title, start date, end date, venue and description, plus an empty Event ID column.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

In FlowMattic, open Connects and add a Google account that can edit the planning spreadsheet.

  3. Start with New Spreadsheet Row

Create a workflow, choose Google Sheets and New Spreadsheet Row, pick the sheet and add a test row.

  4. Create the event

Add Eventin with Create Event, map the columns to the event fields, test the step and check the event in wp-admin.

  5. Save the ID

Add Google Sheets Update Row to write the new event ID into the row, then switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Update Event and Delete Event need the Eventin event ID, so keep it in the sheet from the moment the event is created.
  • Sheets store dates in many formats. Format them with Date/Time Formatter so Eventin gets the date and time you meant.
  • If a workflow writes back to the same sheet, start it from New Spreadsheet Row rather than New Or Updated Spreadsheet Row so the write does not trigger it again.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Google Sheets and Eventin connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Plan in Sheets, publish in Eventin

The team keeps working in the spreadsheet, and event pages and attendee records follow it on your site.

Both ends on your WordPress site

Eventin and FlowMattic run in the same install, so attendee data is read on your server before only the columns you map go to the sheet.

Big events, same cost

Runs are unlimited, so a conference with thousands of registrations logs every one at no extra cost.

Common questions

Can I create Eventin events from Google Sheets?

Yes. The New Spreadsheet Row trigger runs Eventin's Create Event with the title, dates and venue from the row. Write the returned event ID back to the sheet so you can update it later.

Can I export Eventin attendees to a sheet?

New attendees are added as they register through the Attendee Created trigger. For people who registered earlier, run a workflow once with List Attendees, an Iterator and Add New Row.

What happens if an attendee changes their details?

Attendee Updated fires in Eventin. Look up the attendee's row by email and run Update Row with the new details.

Can I update an event by editing its row?

Yes. Use Update Specific Column Value or New Or Updated Spreadsheet Row as the trigger and Update Event with the event ID stored in the row.
