Connect Nutshell and Slack

Nutshell holds your pipeline. FlowMattic tells Slack when it moves: a won lead to the sales channel, a new form submission to whoever handles inbound, a new task to the person it belongs to. For sales teams who live in Slack during the day and update Nutshell as they go.

Nutshell and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Celebrate each won Nutshell lead in Slack

The sales channel gets the lead name, value and rep the moment a lead is marked won, so wins are seen by the whole team and not only in the weekly report.

Open a handover channel for large won deals

A Branch checks the lead value. Big wins get their own Slack channel and the account team is invited, so onboarding starts with everyone in one place.

Route Nutshell form submissions to the inbound channel

A Router reads which form was filled in, so demo requests go to sales, partner enquiries to partnerships and support questions to the help channel.

Send each new task to its owner by DM

Find User by Email matches the task's assignee to their Slack account and Send Direct Message passes on the task and its due date, so it does not wait in Nutshell unseen.

Share logged calls and meetings with sales managers

A Filter keeps only the activity types you choose, such as meetings, and posts them to a private managers' channel for coaching without exposing every note to the team.

Tell account managers about each new company

New Company posts the company name and owner, so territory owners notice new accounts in their patch and can claim or research them early.

Set up: won leads in Slack

At the end, every lead marked won in Nutshell posts its name, value and owner in your sales channel.

  1. Connect Slack

Under Connects in FlowMattic, add the Slack workspace your sales team uses.

  2. Connect Nutshell

Add a Nutshell connection with an account that can see the pipeline you want to announce.

  3. Start with Lead Won

Create a workflow with the Nutshell Lead Won trigger and win a test lead so FlowMattic captures its fields.

  4. Post the win

Add Slack Send Channel Message, choose the sales channel, map the lead fields into the text, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Find User by Email works only when the Nutshell user and the Slack user share an email. Add a channel path for tasks whose assignee it cannot find.
  • The fields above are an example. Custom fields you use in Nutshell come through with the lead, so check a test event before mapping.
  • New Activity covers every logged activity. Filter on the type before posting, or a busy rep fills the channel.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Nutshell and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Wins and work reach people where they talk

Reps hear about tasks and managers see wins in Slack, while Nutshell stays the record of the pipeline.

Deal data stays on your server

Lead values and contact details pass through your own WordPress site on the way to Slack, not through another company's automation account.

Every rep and every lead, one price

Runs are unlimited on every FlowMattic plan, so a growing pipeline never pushes you to a bigger automation bill.

Common questions

How do I post Nutshell wins to Slack?

Create a FlowMattic workflow with the Nutshell Lead Won trigger, then add Slack Send Channel Message with the lead name, value and assignee mapped into the text. Test it with a won lead and switch it on.

Can a rep get a DM for their own tasks?

Yes. Use New Task, then Find User by Email with the assignee's email and Send Direct Message. It needs the same email in Nutshell and Slack.

Can each Nutshell form post to a different channel?

Yes. Start from New Form Submission and add a Router on the form name, with a Slack step and channel on each path.

Can big deals get their own Slack channel?

Yes. Add a Branch on the lead value after Lead Won. On the large-deal path, Create Channel names it after the lead and Invite User To Channel adds the account team.

Can new people added in Nutshell post too?

Yes. Start a second workflow from New Person and post the name, company and owner to a prospecting channel, or filter it so only people from a named source appear.
