Connect PageVitals and Google Sheets

PageVitals tests your pages on a schedule and reports Core Web Vitals for each run. FlowMattic writes every completed series to Google Sheets, so you can chart performance over months, compare client sites in one file, and hear about a slow page before a client does.

When PageVitals fires Series Completed, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

PageVitals and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log each completed PageVitals test series

Every finished series adds a row with the page, device and scores, building a performance history you can chart in the sheet.

Record multistep checkout and login tests separately

Multistep Completed results go to their own tab, so a slow checkout flow is not hidden among single-page tests.

Email the developer when a page goes over budget

The result is logged first. A Filter then checks the score against your budget and Email (SMTP) tells the developer which page slipped.

Keep a latest-result tab with one row per page

Next to the full history, look the page up in a summary tab and overwrite its scores, so anyone can see where each page stands now.

Round timings before they reach the sheet

Number Formatter turns long millisecond values into seconds with two decimals, so the columns read cleanly in a client report.

Give each client website its own tab

Agencies testing many sites route each result by website to a matching tab, ready to share with that client.

Set up: a row per test series

At the end, each completed PageVitals test series adds a row of results to your sheet.

  1. Create the results tab

Add headers such as Page, Device, LCP, CLS, TBT and Tested at.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Under Connects, add a Google account that can edit the spreadsheet.

  3. Choose Series Completed

Create a workflow with the PageVitals Series Completed trigger and follow the setup shown in the trigger step.

  4. Run a test

Start a test in PageVitals so FlowMattic captures a completed series.

  5. Map the scores

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map each metric to its column, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • The metrics in each result depend on the tests you set up in PageVitals, so the mapping is an example. Check a captured series before mapping.
  • Series Completed and Multistep Completed are separate triggers. Build one workflow for each if you run both kinds of test.
  • Set number formats on the metric columns so the sheet's charts treat them as numbers, not text.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

PageVitals and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

History you keep

Scores pass through your WordPress server into your own sheet, so the history stays with you if you change tools.

Frequent tests cost the same

Runs are unlimited, so testing many pages several times a day needs no bigger plan.

Reports clients understand

A tab per site with readable numbers is easier to share than a dashboard login.

Common questions

How do I export PageVitals results to Google Sheets?

Create a workflow with the PageVitals Series Completed trigger, run a test, then add Google Sheets Add New Row and map the page and metric fields to columns.

Can I get an alert when a page gets slower?

Yes. After logging the row, add a Filter that compares a metric with your limit and an Email (SMTP) step that names the page and score.

Can I see only the latest score for each page?

Yes. Keep a summary tab with one row per page. Find the page with Lookup Row Data and overwrite its scores with Update Row each time a series completes.

Are multistep tests included?

Yes, through the Multistep Completed trigger. Give those results their own tab, since a multistep flow reports on several steps rather than one page.
