Connect Senseily and Google Sheets

Senseily runs your online school: course enrollments, lessons, student accounts and newsletter signups. FlowMattic writes those events to Google Sheets, so you can see which courses fill up, how far each student has got, and how many newsletter readers become students, in a file you can share with co-instructors.

1. TriggerNew Course Enrollment

When Senseily fires New Course Enrollment, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

Senseily and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log every new Senseily course enrollment

Each enrollment, free or paid, becomes a row with student, course and date, giving course creators a roster they can sort and share.

Track each student's lesson progress on their row

When a student completes a lesson, the workflow finds their row for that course and writes the lesson and date, so you see who is moving and who has stalled.

Give each course its own roster tab

A Router sends enrollments to the tab for their course, so a co-instructor sees only the students they teach.

Collect confirmed newsletter subscribers

Only people who confirm their email trigger New Newsletter Subscription, so the tab holds a clean list you can compare with enrollments.

New User Registration adds each account to a tab. Compare it with enrollments to find people who signed up but never started a course.

Set up: an enrollment roster

At the end, every new Senseily enrollment adds a row to your roster sheet.

  1. Prepare the roster

Add headers such as Student, Email, Course, Price and Enrolled.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Under Connects, add a Google account that can edit the roster.

  3. Choose New Course Enrollment

Create a workflow with the Senseily New Course Enrollment trigger and complete the setup the trigger step asks for.

  4. Enroll a test student

Enroll yourself in a free course so FlowMattic captures an enrollment.

  5. Map and turn on

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the enrollment fields, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Lesson Completion fires when a student completes all the content in a lesson, not when they open it.
  • Newsletter subscribers reach the sheet only after they click the confirmation link in their email.
  • Use the student email and course together as the key when updating progress, since one student can take several courses.

Triggers (4)

  • New Course EnrollmentTriggers when a student enrolls a free or paid course.
  • New Newsletter SubscriptionTriggers when someone submits the newsletter form and confirms the email by clicking the link in the mail.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Senseily and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Student data on your server

Names and emails pass through your own WordPress site to the sheet, not through another automation provider.

A launch costs the same

Runs are unlimited, so a course launch with hundreds of enrollments needs no bigger plan.

Share rosters with co-instructors

Each teacher reads their course tab without an admin login to your school.

Common questions

How do I export Senseily enrollments to Google Sheets?

Create a workflow with the Senseily New Course Enrollment trigger, enroll a test student, then add Google Sheets Add New Row and map student, email and course to columns.

Can I track how far each student has got?

Yes. Build a Lesson Completion workflow that finds the student's row for that course with Lookup Row Data and writes the latest lesson with Update Row.

Are free courses included?

Yes. New Course Enrollment fires for free and paid courses, so map the price if you want to tell them apart.

Can I see newsletter readers who later enroll?

Yes. Keep subscribers and enrollments on separate tabs and match them by email with a lookup formula in the sheet.
