Connect WooCommerce and Discord

Shops that run a Discord server for their team or community can bring the store into it. FlowMattic posts WooCommerce orders, reviews, stock warnings and daily totals to your channels, gives roles to big spenders or subscribers, and can greet new server members with a store coupon, all from the WordPress site your store already runs on.

WooCommerce and Discord workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Post every new order in a team channel

Each order posts its number, total and items to a sales channel, so a small team sees the day's orders where they already chat.

Share new product reviews with the team

Each review posts its rating and text to a reviews channel, so praise reaches the people who made the product and complaints reach someone who can answer.

Warn the ops channel when stock runs low

When a product reaches its low-stock threshold, the product name and stock left post to an operations channel so reordering starts before it sells out.

Give big spenders a VIP role on your server

When a customer passes a spending threshold, find them on Discord by the username they gave at checkout and add a VIP role that opens a members-only channel.

Remove the member role when a subscription lapses

Paid communities tie access to a subscription. A Router checks the new status, and cancelled or expired subscribers lose the Discord role that opens member channels.

Set up: new orders in a team channel

When you finish, each new WooCommerce order is posted in the Discord channel you choose.

  1. Connect Discord

Add a Discord connection under Connects and make sure it can post in the server and channel you will use.

  2. Start from New Order Created

Create a workflow with the WooCommerce New Order Created trigger and place a test order so FlowMattic captures real order data.

  3. Add Send Channel Message

Add a Discord step with Send Channel Message, choose the channel and write the message with the order number, customer first name and total.

  4. Test and switch on

Test the step, check the post in Discord, then switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Discord identifies people by their Discord username, not their email, so role workflows need the customer's username, for example from a checkout field.
  • Subscription triggers need WooCommerce Subscriptions on your store.
  • Be careful what you post in public channels. Keep customer names and addresses to private staff channels.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

WooCommerce and Discord connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

The store talks to your community

Roles, coupons and announcements connect the people in your Discord server with what they buy in your store.

Order data stays on your server

Order details travel from your WordPress site to Discord directly, not through an outside automation account.

Busy sales, same price

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a launch with hundreds of orders posts every one without a bigger plan.

Common questions

Can WooCommerce post to more than one Discord channel?

Yes. Use a Router on the order total, product category or shipping country and give each path its own Send Channel Message step.

Can a purchase give someone a Discord role?

Yes. Start from Product Purchased or Order Paid, find the buyer with Find User using a Discord username collected at checkout, then use Add Role.

Can Discord messages change the store?

Yes. New Message Posted to Channel can start a workflow that runs WooCommerce actions, such as looking up an order or creating a coupon. Keep that channel limited to staff.

Can I post to a forum channel instead?

Yes. Create new Forum Post opens a thread for each item, such as a new product, and Send message in Forum Post adds later updates to it.

Can I alert the team about abandoned carts?

Yes. New Cart Abandonment is a WooCommerce trigger, so it can post the cart contents to a sales channel for follow-up.
