Connect Aha! and Google Sheets

Aha! holds your strategy and roadmap, but launch plans, sales briefings and stakeholder reports often live in a spreadsheet. FlowMattic copies new features and releases into Google Sheets from your WordPress site and updates the rows as status, dates and owners change, so the sheet matches the roadmap without copy and paste.

1. TriggerCreate a feature
2. ActionAdd New Row

When Aha! fires Create a feature, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Log each new Aha! feature in Google Sheets

Every feature created in Aha! becomes a row with its name, reference number, status and release, a list the wider business can read without an Aha! seat.

Keep feature status and dates current in the sheet

When a feature changes, its row is found by reference number and the status, release and due date are rewritten, so reports never show last week's plan.

Build a workload sheet from assigned features

Features created with an assignee go to a tab with the owner's name, so engineering managers can count open work per person with a pivot table.

Create New Sheet adds a tab named after the release, where marketing, support and sales fill in their launch tasks before the date.

Track release date changes in a release calendar

Each release update writes the new date and status to the release's row, and Date/Time Formatter keeps dates readable for teams outside product.

Set up: new features into a sheet

At the end, every feature created in Aha! is added to your Google Sheet with its key details.

  1. Prepare the sheet

Add a header row such as Reference, Name, Status, Release, Assignee and Created.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Under Connects in FlowMattic, add Google Sheets with an account that can edit the spreadsheet.

  3. Start with Create a feature

Create a workflow with the Aha! Create a feature trigger, follow its instructions to send Aha! events to the workflow and create a test feature.

  4. Add New Row

Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the feature fields to the columns, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • These workflows copy Aha! features and releases into the sheet; editing a row does not change the roadmap. Keep Aha! as the place where plans are changed.
  • Store the feature reference number in every row. The update workflow needs it to find the right row with Lookup Row Data.
  • Update a feature fires for many small edits. Add a Filter on status or release if the sheet only needs to change when those fields do.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Aha! and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

The roadmap reaches people without seats

Sales, support and leadership read features and releases in a sheet, without extra Aha! licences.

Launch planning starts on time

A new release creates its checklist tab straight away, so other teams start preparing as soon as the release exists.

Unlimited updates on your own server

FlowMattic runs on your WordPress site with unlimited runs, so frequent feature edits never add per-task costs.

Common questions

How do I export Aha! features to Google Sheets?

Connect Google Sheets under Connects, create a workflow with the Aha! Create a feature trigger and send Aha! events to it. Add Add New Row mapped to your columns, then switch it on to log each new feature.

Can the sheet update when a feature moves to another release?

Yes. Use Update a feature with Lookup Row Data on the reference column and Update Row to write the new release and status to that feature's row.

Can I track releases as well as features?

Yes. Create a release and Update a release can write to a releases tab, and Create New Sheet can add a launch checklist tab for each new release.

Will existing features be added?

No. The triggers fire for new and changed items after the workflow is on. Export your current features from Aha! once and paste them into the sheet.
