Connect Caspio and Slack

Caspio apps collect requests, applications and reports in tables. FlowMattic watches the table you choose and posts changes to Slack: a new record for the team that handles it, a status change for the person who asked, a deleted record for the admin. Organisations running low-code apps on Caspio keep their staff informed without another dashboard.

When Caspio fires New Record, FlowMattic runs Send Channel Message in Slack with the data from that event.

Caspio and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Post each new Caspio record to a Slack channel

A new request or form entry in the table appears in the channel with its key fields, so the team that processes it can start without checking the app.

Route new records by department or category

A Router reads a field such as department. IT requests go to the IT channel, facilities requests to facilities, and anything unmatched to a triage channel.

Tell the requester when their record is approved

A Filter passes updates where the status field becomes approved. The requester's email from the record finds them in Slack and they get a direct message.

Keep an audit trail of deleted records

Deleted Record posts to a private admin channel with the record's values, so there is a trace of what was removed from the table and when.

Rate the urgency of new requests with an AI Agent

An AI Agent reads the description field and labels the request urgent, normal or low. The Slack post leads with that label so the team picks the right one first.

Set a review reminder for each new application

For tables that hold applications or submissions to review, Slack adds a reminder for the reviewer with the record ID, so nothing waits past your service target.

New RecordAdd Reminder

Set up: new records to Slack

At the end, every new record added to your chosen Caspio table is posted to a Slack channel with the fields you pick.

  1. Connect Slack

Under Connects in FlowMattic, add a Slack connection with an account in the channel you want to use.

  2. Start with New Record

Create a workflow with the Caspio New Record trigger, choose the table and follow the trigger's instructions.

  3. Add a test record

Submit a record through your Caspio app or add one to the table, so FlowMattic captures its fields.

  4. Post the record

Add Send Channel Message, choose the channel and write the text from the table's fields. Test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Each trigger watches the one table you choose. For several tables, create a workflow per table, each with its own channel or message.
  • The fields come from your own table design, so the mapping above is an example. Use the captured test record to see the exact field names.
  • Updated Record fires on any change to a record. Filter on the field you care about, such as status, so an edit to a comment does not post again.

Triggers (3)

  • New RecordTriggers when a new record is added to the chosen table.
  • Updated RecordTriggers when a record is updated to the chosen table.
  • Deleted RecordTriggers when a record is deleted from the chosen table.

Actions (14)

  • Send Channel MessagePost or Schedule a new message to a specific #channel
  • Add ReminderAdds a reminder for the user
  • Create ChannelCreates a new channel
  • List All ChannelsRetrieve list of all channels

  • Set StatusSets your Slack status to the given text and emoji

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Caspio and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Low-code apps reach your team

Records collected by Caspio forms and apps show up where staff already talk, without anyone building a notification inside the app.

Requesters hear the outcome

Status changes go straight to the person who asked, which cuts the follow-up emails asking where a request is.

Records pass through your server

FlowMattic runs on your own WordPress site with unlimited runs, so busy tables do not add per-task costs.

Common questions

How do I send Caspio records to Slack?

Create a FlowMattic workflow with the Caspio New Record trigger, choose your table and add a test record. Then add Send Channel Message, map the fields into the text and switch the workflow on.

Can I be told only when a certain field changes?

Yes. Use Updated Record and add a Filter on that field, for example status equals approved. Other edits to the record stop at the Filter.

Can different records go to different channels?

Yes. Add a Router after the trigger with a condition on a field such as department or region, and a Slack step on each path.

Will records with personal data be posted publicly?

Only the fields you map are posted. Use Send Private Channel Message for tables that hold personal or sensitive information.
