Invoices, signed forms and reports keep arriving as email attachments, then sit in one person's inbox. FlowMattic's Email Parser gives you an address to forward them to, and each attachment lands in the right Google Drive folder. It suits bookkeepers, agencies and office managers who want files filed where the whole team can find them.

When Email Parser fires Email Received, FlowMattic runs Upload a File in Google Drive with the data from that event.

Email Parser and Google Drive workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Save every attachment from forwarded emails to a Drive folder
Forward an email and its attachment goes into one Drive folder you choose, so nobody has to download and re-upload files from their inbox.
Give each client a folder and file their emails in it
Find Folder looks for a folder named after the sender's company. A Router creates the folder the first time and uploads into the existing one after that.
Email Received→Find Folder→Router→Create a Folder→Upload a File
Upload all attachments when one email carries several
Scanners and suppliers often send many files in one email. An Iterator goes through the attachment list and uploads each file on its own.
Email Received→Iterator→Upload a File
Share each emailed invoice with your accountant
After the upload, Share File gives your accountant access to that one file by email, without sharing the rest of the folder.
Email Received→Upload a File→Share File
Keep the text of important emails as Drive files
Some emails matter more than their attachments, such as a written approval. Clean up the body and store it with Create File From Text next to the project files.
Email Received→Text Formatter→Create File From Text
Store only PDFs and ignore signature images
Email signatures add logos and icons as attachments. A Filter on the file type keeps them out, so the folder holds only the documents you wanted.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Email Parser has triggers only, so every workflow here starts with an incoming email. Google Drive triggers cannot send anything back through the parser.
Drive allows two files with the same name in a folder. Add the date or the sender to the file name if people forward the same report every week.
Anyone who knows the parser address can send to it. Add a Filter on the sender if only certain people should be able to file documents.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Email Parser and Google Drive connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Files land where the team works
Attachments leave one person's inbox and go into shared Drive folders with names your team already uses.
Documents pass through your server
The parser and the workflow run on your own WordPress site, so invoices and contracts are not routed through another automation service.
No count on forwarded emails
Runs are unlimited, so a month of supplier invoices costs the same as a handful of test emails.
Common questions
How do I save email attachments to Google Drive automatically?
Create a workflow with the Email Parser trigger, forward emails to the address it gives you, and add a Google Drive Upload a File step with the attachment mapped. Every attachment forwarded after that is uploaded to the folder you chose.
Can I forward emails from Gmail or Outlook?
Yes. The parser address works like any email address, so you can forward by hand or set a forwarding rule in your mail app for messages from a certain sender.
Can each sender get their own folder?
Yes. Use Find Folder with the sender's name or domain, then a Router that runs Create a Folder when nothing is found and Upload a File into the folder either way.
What if an email has no attachment?
Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when an attachment is present, or use Create File From Text to keep the email body as a file instead.
Can I share uploaded files with people outside my company?
Yes. Share File gives a named email address access, and Share File with Anyone creates a link anyone can open. Use the second only for documents that are fine to be public.
