Gmail has no trigger in FlowMattic, but Email Parser does: forward the messages you care about to your parser address and each one starts a workflow. From there Gmail can send a clean summary to someone else, label and mark the original, or prepare a reply draft. For shops, agencies and support desks that run on a Gmail inbox.

Email Parser and Gmail workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Send the warehouse a clean summary of each supplier email
Supplier confirmations arrive in long templates. The parser pulls out the order number, items and dispatch date, and Gmail sends the warehouse a short message with only those details.
Email Received→Send Email
Draft a reply with an AI agent for you to review
An AI Agent reads the parsed question and writes a reply in your tone. Gmail saves it as a draft, so nothing goes out until you have read it.
Email Received→AI Agent→Create Draft
Label the original message in Gmail once it is handled
Find Email locates the original in your inbox by subject and sender, then Add Label to Email and Mark Email as Read show the team it has been processed.
Email Received→Find Email→Add Label to Email→Mark Email as Read
Acknowledge enquiries in the same Gmail thread
Find the original message, then Reply to Email answers inside its thread with a short note that you will be in touch, so the customer sees one conversation.
Email Received→Find Email→Reply to Email
Send branded emails to the right team by sender
A Router checks the sender's domain. Messages from key clients go to account managers and the rest to the general team, each as a FlowMattic email template sent through Gmail.
Email Received (v2)→Router→Send Template Email
Forward only invoices to your bookkeeper
A Filter passes messages whose subject or body mentions an invoice, and Gmail sends the bookkeeper the amount, due date and supplier, so they are not copied on everything.
When you are done, each supplier email you forward to the parser sends a short summary from your Gmail account.
1
Get the parser address
Create a workflow with the Email Parser Email Received trigger and copy the address FlowMattic shows.
2
Forward from Gmail
In Gmail, add that address as a forwarding address and create a filter that forwards supplier emails to it.
3
Capture a sample
Forward one real supplier email so FlowMattic captures the subject, sender and body to map from.
4
Connect Gmail and send
Add a Gmail connection under Connects, add Send Email, write the summary with the parsed fields, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
These workflows receive incoming mail through the parser address, then use Gmail to send, draft or label. Use Gmail's own forwarding filter to choose which messages go there.
Find Email, Reply to Email and the label actions work on messages in the connected Gmail mailbox. They only find the original if the forwarded copy came from that same account.
Email Received and Email Received (v2) each give their own parser address. Forward mail to the address shown in the trigger you picked, or nothing reaches the workflow.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Email Parser and Gmail connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Mail is processed on your server
Parsed emails are handled by FlowMattic on your own WordPress site before Gmail sends anything, so message content does not pass through a third automation account.
A full inbox costs nothing more
Runs are unlimited, so forwarding hundreds of order or enquiry emails a day needs no bigger FlowMattic plan.
You choose what is sent
Drafts, Filters and Routers let you decide which emails get an automatic reply and which wait for a person.
Common questions
Can FlowMattic start a workflow when an email arrives in Gmail?
Not from Gmail directly, since Gmail has no trigger here. Forward the messages you want to your Email Parser address with a Gmail filter, and the Email Received trigger starts the workflow.
Can I reply in the original thread instead of starting a new email?
Yes. Use Find Email to locate the original by subject and sender, then Reply to Email with its thread. This works when the original sits in the Gmail account you connected.
Can I check a reply before it is sent?
Yes. Use Create Draft or Create Draft Reply instead of sending. The draft waits in Gmail, and you can review, edit and send it yourself, or send it later with Send Draft.
What can the parser read from an email?
The trigger gives the sender, subject and body of each forwarded message. Text Formatter or an AI Agent can pull values such as order numbers, amounts or dates out of the body for later steps.
Can I clean up old drafts the workflow made?
Yes. Delete Draft and Delete Draft Reply remove drafts by their ID, which the workflow gets back when it creates them.
