Typeform gets people talking, and Mailchimp keeps the conversation going by email. FlowMattic adds each respondent to your audience and carries what they said along with them: tags for their choices, notes for long answers, events for journeys. It is built for marketers, course creators and agencies whose sign-up, quiz and feedback forms live in Typeform.

Typeform and Mailchimp workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Add each Typeform respondent to a Mailchimp audience
Email and name go into the audience as soon as the form is submitted, so your welcome automation picks the person up without a CSV export.
After the member is added, Add Member Tag applies one tag per choice from a multiple choice question, so a campaign about pricing only reaches people who asked about pricing.
New Form Submission→Add New Member→Add Member Tag
Keep a long answer as a note on the member
Questions such as what are you struggling with are worth reading later. Add Member Note saves the text on the profile, where whoever replies by email can see it.
New Form Submission→Find Member→Add Member Note
Place quiz takers in a segment by score
A Router reads the quiz score or outcome, and Add Member to Segment puts beginners, intermediates and experts in separate segments, each with its own follow-up series.
New Form Submission→Router→Add Member to Segment
Start a Mailchimp journey when a survey is completed
Add Member Event records something like completed onboarding survey on the member. A Mailchimp journey that starts on that event can send the next step.
New Form Submission→Add Member Event
Update details for subscribers who already exist
For profile update forms sent to your list, Find Member checks the email and a Router runs Update Member for known people and Add New Member for anyone new.

Set up: respondents as members
At the end, every completed response to your Typeform adds the respondent to one Mailchimp audience.

Create a workflow with Typeform New Form Submission, choose the form and submit a test response so its answers are captured.
4
Map Add New Member
Add Mailchimp Add New Member, pick the audience, map email, name and merge fields, test and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Every workflow here starts from a Typeform response. Mailchimp triggers such as New Subscriber can start other workflows, but none of them can write back to Typeform.
Merge fields and segments must already exist in Mailchimp before you can map to them. Tags are created by name when first applied.
The answers you map come from your own form, so the mapping is an example. Remap after you change a question.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Typeform and Mailchimp connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Answers travel with the person
Tags, notes and events carry what each respondent told you into Mailchimp, so later emails can use it.
No count on submissions
Runs are unlimited, so a quiz that goes around social media adds every taker on the same plan.
Your server in the middle
Responses pass from Typeform to Mailchimp through your own WordPress site, where the same workflow can also save a copy.
Common questions
Can a Typeform answer choose the Mailchimp tag?
Yes. Map the answer straight into Add Member Tag, or use a Lookup Table to turn answer text into the exact tag names you use.
What if the respondent is already in my audience?
Use Find Member first. A Router can then run Update Member for an existing person and Add New Member for someone new, so each person keeps one profile.
Can I send long answers to Mailchimp?
Yes. Short answers fit in merge fields. Longer ones are better kept with Add Member Note, which stores the text on the member profile.
Do Typeform hidden fields reach Mailchimp?
Yes. Hidden fields such as a source or campaign value arrive with the response and can be mapped into a merge field or used as a tag.
Can several Typeforms feed one audience?
Yes. Build a workflow per form pointed at the same audience, and tag each with the form name so you can tell where people joined.
