Support and marketing see the same customers but rarely share notes. FlowMattic connects ThriveDesk to Mailchimp so conversation status, tags and inbox moves become member tags and notes. Marketing can then leave out people with an open problem, or follow up with people who asked about buying, from workflows on your WordPress site.

ThriveDesk and Mailchimp workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Tag the Mailchimp member when a conversation's status changes
Open, pending and closed become tags on the customer's member record, so marketing can segment people by where they are in their support journey.
Hold promotions while a customer has an open ticket
A new conversation adds an open-ticket tag to the member. Exclude that tag from campaigns, and nobody waiting on a fix gets a sales email in the meantime.
New Conversation Created→Add Member Tag
Remove the open-ticket tag when the conversation closes
A Filter lets through only conversations that become closed and removes the tag, so the customer returns to your normal campaigns on their own.
Conversation Status Updated→Filter→Remove Member Tag
Turn ThriveDesk conversation tags into Mailchimp segments
A Router reads the conversation's tags. Feature requests, refund requests and bug reports each add their own member tag, so you can email the people who asked for a feature once it ships.
Conversation Tags Added/Updated→Router→Add Member Tag
Add sales enquiries to a prospects audience
When a conversation is moved into your sales inbox, a Filter checks the inbox and the person is added to a prospects list for the launch and offer emails they asked about.
Conversation Moved→Filter→Add New Member
Copy flagged support notes onto the member record
When an agent adds a note that contains a marker word, a Filter catches it and the note is added to the Mailchimp member, so marketing sees context like a planned upgrade.
At the end, every status change on a ThriveDesk conversation adds a matching tag to the customer in Mailchimp.

3
Start with the status trigger
Create a workflow with Conversation Status Updated and change a test conversation's status so FlowMattic captures the data.
4
Add the tag
Add Mailchimp's Add Member Tag, pick the audience, map the customer's email and build the tag from the status, then test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
ThriveDesk has triggers but no actions in FlowMattic, so workflows start in ThriveDesk and Mailchimp's triggers cannot change a conversation.
Add Member Tag, Remove Member Tag and Add Member Note act on existing members. For customers who may not be on the list yet, add them with Add New Member first.
Only add support contacts to an audience if they agreed to receive marketing email. A Filter on a consent field or a specific inbox keeps it to those people.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
ThriveDesk and Mailchimp connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Support context in campaigns
Tags from real conversations let you leave out unhappy customers and reach the ones who asked for something.
Busy inboxes cost the same
Runs are unlimited, so tagging every status change on every conversation adds no cost as volume grows.
Customer emails stay on your server
Data moves from ThriveDesk to Mailchimp through your own WordPress site, not through another company's automation account.
Common questions
Can I check an email address before adding it to Mailchimp?
Yes. The workflow library has templates that run an email verification app between New Conversation Created and Add New Member, so only valid addresses join your list.
Can a Mailchimp unsubscribe update ThriveDesk?
No. ThriveDesk has no actions in FlowMattic, so Mailchimp events cannot change conversations. Workflows only run from ThriveDesk to Mailchimp.
Can I tag customers when an agent replies?
Yes. Agent Replies to Conversation and Customer Replies to Conversation are both triggers, so you can add or remove a member tag on either.
Can a refund request remove someone from the list?
Yes, if that is your policy. Route on the conversation tag and run Delete List Member, though most teams prefer a tag so the history stays.
