Connect Razorpay and Google Sheets

Razorpay's dashboard is fine for checking one payment, but finance teams and founders often want every payment, refund and settlement in a sheet they can filter, total and share with an accountant. FlowMattic writes those Razorpay events into Google Sheets from your WordPress site, one row per event, in the columns you choose.

1. TriggerPayment Captured

When Razorpay fires Payment Captured, FlowMattic runs Add New Row in Google Sheets with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

Razorpay and Google Sheets workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Add each captured Razorpay payment as a row

Payment ID, amount, method, email and contact land in a revenue log when Razorpay captures the money, so the sheet matches what actually reached your account.

Check paid orders with AI before logging them

An AI Agent looks at each paid order for missing or odd details, such as a blank email or an amount that does not match the order, and writes its note next to the row.

Mark a client's payment link as paid in your invoice sheet

Freelancers who send payment links keep a sheet of who owes what. When a link is paid, the row is found by link ID and the Paid cell is filled in.

Keep a refunds tab for month-end reconciliation

Every processed refund is written to its own tab with the original payment ID, so the accountant can match refunds to sales without exporting reports.

Start a disputes register the day a dispute opens

Each new dispute adds a row with the payment, amount and reason, giving whoever handles chargebacks one list to work through and a place to record the outcome.

Record each settlement as it reaches your bank

Settlement rows show what Razorpay paid out and when, which makes it easy to tie bank credits back to the payments in your revenue log.

List large failed payments for a personal follow-up

A Filter keeps only failed payments above an amount you set, so the sales team calls the buyers worth calling instead of reading every declined card.

Set up: captured payments as rows

When you finish, each payment Razorpay captures appears as a new row in your Google Sheet.

  1. Prepare the sheet

Create a spreadsheet with headers such as Payment ID, Date, Amount, Currency, Method, Email and Phone.

  2. Connect Google Sheets

Add a Google Sheets connection under Connects with an account that can edit the spreadsheet, and add your Razorpay account the same way.

  3. Choose Payment Captured

Start a workflow with the Razorpay Payment Captured trigger and make a test payment so FlowMattic captures real payment data.

  4. Map Add New Row

Add Add New Row, pick the spreadsheet and tab, map the payment fields to the columns, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Razorpay has triggers only, so these workflows run one way: Razorpay events write to Sheets, but a sheet edit cannot create a payment or a refund.
  • Payment Authorized and Payment Captured can both fire for the same payment. Log one of them, usually Payment Captured, to avoid two rows per sale.
  • Check how the amount arrives in a test run before building totals in the sheet, and convert it with a formula column if needed.
  • Field names in the mapping are typical for a payment; what you see depends on the event and the data captured in your test.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Razorpay and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Payment data skips the middleman

FlowMattic runs on your own WordPress server, so customer emails, phone numbers and amounts go from Razorpay to Google Sheets without a third automation service holding them.

Festive sales cost the same

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a sale week with thousands of payments needs no bigger subscription than a quiet month.

Over 60 Razorpay events to log

Payments, refunds, disputes, settlements, payouts, subscriptions and payment links each have their own trigger, so every tab in your finance sheet can have its own feed.

Common questions

How does the Razorpay Google Sheets integration work?

Pick a Razorpay trigger such as Payment Captured or Refund Processed, then add a Google Sheets Add New Row step and map the fields to your columns. Each event writes one row, and the workflow runs from your WordPress site.

Can I log Razorpay subscription charges separately?

Yes. Subscription Charged, Subscription Halted and Subscription Cancelled each start their own workflow, so recurring billing can go to a subscriptions tab beside one-time payments.

Can I update the dispute row when it is won or lost?

Yes. Build a second workflow on Payment Dispute Won or Payment Dispute Lost, find the row by payment ID with Lookup Row Data and write the result with Update Row.

Can I bring in payments made before I set this up?

Not through Razorpay steps, since Razorpay has no actions here. Export older payments from the Razorpay dashboard and paste them in, and let FlowMattic add new ones from then on.

Will a test payment add a row?

Yes, if it fires the event you chose. That is how FlowMattic captures sample data for mapping. Delete the test row before you start reporting.
