Connect WPForms and WooCommerce

WPForms is often the quickest way to take an order by phone, a wholesale request or a vendor's product details, while WooCommerce is where those need to end up. FlowMattic turns each WPForms entry into the right WooCommerce record: an order, a product, a customer, a coupon or an order note. It suits shops that sell through more than the standard checkout.

WPForms and WooCommerce workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Attach return requests to the original order as a note

The customer enters the order number and reason on a returns form. Get Order by ID finds the order and Add Order Note keeps the request where staff will see it.

Set up: orders from an order form

At the end, every entry on your order form creates a WooCommerce order for the product the customer chose.

  1. Build the form

In WPForms, add fields for name, email, phone, address, product SKU and quantity.

  2. Start with New Form Submission

In FlowMattic, create a workflow, choose WPForms and New Form Submission, pick the form and submit a test order.

  3. Find the product

Add WooCommerce with Get Product by SKU and map the SKU field, so the workflow has the product ID.

  4. Create the order

Add Create New Order, map the customer details, product ID and quantity, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Every workflow here starts from a WPForms entry. WooCommerce triggers cannot fill in or change a WPForms entry.
  • WooCommerce actions need IDs. Ask for a SKU or order number on the form and look the record up first, rather than asking customers for internal IDs.
  • The fields in the mapping depend on how you build the form, so treat them as an example and match them to your own field labels.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

WPForms and WooCommerce connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Both plugins, one site

WPForms, WooCommerce and FlowMattic all run in the same WordPress install, so entries become store records without leaving your server.

Orders beyond the checkout

Phone, trade and event orders get into WooCommerce through a form your staff already know how to use.

No charge per order

Runs are unlimited, so a busy sales day creates as many orders as it needs at no extra cost.

Common questions

Can a WPForms submission create a WooCommerce order?

Yes. Use the WPForms New Form Submission trigger and the WooCommerce Create New Order action. Look the product up by SKU first so the order gets the right product ID.

Can I create products from a form?

Yes. Create New Product takes the name, price, description and other details from the form. For products with options, use Create Variable Product and Create Product Variation.

Does the customer pay through the form?

That depends on your form. The workflow creates the order record. If WPForms took the payment, set the order status to match with Change Order Status.

Can the form add someone to an existing coupon?

Yes. Add Email(s) to Coupon adds the submitted email to a coupon's allowed list, so a single shared code can be limited to people who filled in the form.
