Connect Stripe and Airtable

Founders and finance leads like Airtable for revenue tracking because they can link customers, plans and payments in one base. FlowMattic writes Stripe events into Airtable records from your own WordPress site: each charge, new subscription, paid invoice and new customer, plus a review table for payments that look wrong.

Stripe and Airtable workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create an Airtable record for each successful Stripe charge

Amount, currency, customer email and description land in a Sales table, giving you a revenue log you can group by month or product without exporting from Stripe.

Track new subscriptions in a recurring revenue table

Each new subscription becomes a record with plan, price, interval and start date, so a SaaS team can see monthly recurring revenue and plan mix in Airtable views.

When a subscription ends, a record with the customer, plan and end date goes into a Churn table, ready for a follow-up call or an exit survey.

Keep an Airtable customer directory from Stripe

Every new Stripe customer becomes a record with name, email and customer ID, which other tables can link to so payments and subscriptions roll up per customer.

Flag unusual charges for review with an AI Agent

An AI Agent reads each charge for signals like a mismatched country or an unusual amount and writes a short risk note. A Filter sends only flagged charges to a Review table.

Mirror your Stripe product catalog in Airtable

New products and plans created in Stripe are added to a Catalog table with their names and prices, so the team plans pricing changes in one shared view.

Create a Stripe payment link for each new deal record

For small sales teams that track deals in Airtable: a new deal record gets a Stripe payment link, saved back on the record for the rep to send.

Set up: each Stripe charge as a record

When you finish, every successful Stripe charge creates a record in an Airtable Sales table.

  1. Build the table

In Airtable, create a Sales table with fields such as Charge ID, Date, Customer email, Amount, Currency and Description.

  2. Connect both apps

Add your Stripe account and your Airtable account under Connects in FlowMattic.

  3. Start with New Charge

Create a workflow with the Stripe New Charge trigger and make a small payment so FlowMattic captures a real charge to map from.

  4. Convert the amount

Add Number Formatter to turn the amount from cents into a normal figure, such as 4900 into 49.00.

  5. Create the record

Add Airtable Create Record, choose the base and table, map each field, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Data can also go the other way: Airtable's New Record trigger can run Stripe actions such as Create Customer or Create Payment Link, so a sales table can start billing.
  • Update Record, Get Record and Delete Record need the Airtable record ID. To update a record later, save the ID from Create Record somewhere you can find it, such as a WP Tables table keyed by Stripe ID.
  • Stripe amounts arrive in the smallest currency unit, such as cents. Convert them with Number Formatter before writing to a currency field.
  • New Charge covers charges that succeed. For failed payments, use another Stripe trigger in the list or check payments in Stripe itself.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Stripe and Airtable connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Payments pass through your own server

FlowMattic runs in your WordPress site, so Stripe data goes from Stripe to Airtable without a third automation service in the middle.

Busy billing days cost the same

Runs are unlimited, so the first of the month with hundreds of renewals needs no bigger plan.

Linked tables, not one long list

Separate Sales, Subscriptions, Churn and Customers tables can link by customer ID, which a single exported file cannot do.

Common questions

How does the Stripe Airtable integration work?

A Stripe trigger in FlowMattic, such as New Charge or New Subscription, starts a workflow that runs Airtable Create Record with the fields you map. It runs on your WordPress site, and each step can be tested with captured payment data before you switch it on.

Can I import charges from before I set this up?

Not through these triggers, which react to new events. Export past payments from Stripe as a CSV and import it into Airtable once, then let the workflow add everything after.

Can I update the subscription record when it is cancelled?

Yes, if you keep the Airtable record ID. Store it when you create the record, look it up on Subscription Deleted and run Update Record. Otherwise log the cancellation as a new record in a Churn table.

Can different products go to different tables?

Yes. Put a Router after the trigger with a condition on the description or product, and give each path its own Create Record step.

Can I log each line on an invoice separately?

Yes. Invoice Item Created starts a workflow for each invoice item, so you can write items to their own Airtable table and link them to the Invoices table by invoice ID.
