Crowdin manages your translations; Slack is where product, localisation and engineering coordinate a release. FlowMattic posts Crowdin's milestones to the right channel: a language is fully translated, a file is reviewed, new source strings need work, an export changed. Release managers know when a locale is ready to ship, and translators hear about new work without checking the project page.

Crowdin and Slack workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Tell the release team a project is fully translated
A fully translated project is the signal that a release can include every language. The release channel hears it with the project name, so nobody has to check progress bars by hand.
In file-based projects, each file that is fully translated goes to the proofreaders' channel with its name and language, so review starts on that file while others are still being translated.

Let developers know an export has changed
Exported Translation Updated means the files the app ships with are different. Developers get a note in their private channel to pull the new strings into the next build.
Post rejected suggestions to the translators' channel
When a proofreader disapproves a suggestion, the translators' channel sees the string and language, so the translator learns the preferred wording and the same mistake is not repeated across files.
A Router reads the task's target language and posts the new status to that team's channel, so the French and Japanese vendors each follow only their own tasks.

Mark a reviewed project in the localisation channel topic
When proofreading finishes for the whole project, the channel topic changes to say it is ready to ship, which is the first thing anyone joining the channel reads.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
The File Fully Translated and File Fully Reviewed triggers work only in file-based Crowdin projects. In string-based projects, use the project-level triggers instead.
Source String Added and the suggestion triggers run once per string. On a big upload that is hundreds of messages, so send them to a channel people can mute or add a Filter.
Project Fully Translated can run once per target language. Include the language in the message so the channel can tell the posts apart.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Crowdin and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Releases wait on facts, not guesses
Release managers see which languages are translated and reviewed in Slack, so a ship date is set from Crowdin's actual state.
Translators, reviewers and developers each hear their part
New strings, rejected suggestions, finished files and changed exports go to the people who act on them.
Unlimited runs for string-heavy projects
FlowMattic runs on your own WordPress site, so a project with thousands of string events costs the same as a small one.
Common questions
How do I post Crowdin updates to Slack?
Create a FlowMattic workflow with a Crowdin trigger such as Project Fully Translated, then add Slack's Send Channel Message. Capture a test event, map the project and language into the message, and switch the workflow on.
Can each language go to a different Slack channel?
Yes. Put a Router after the trigger with a path for each target language, each with its own Send Channel Message. This suits teams that work with a separate vendor per language.
Why do I not see File Fully Translated events?
Those two triggers only run in file-based Crowdin projects. If your project is string-based, use Project Fully Translated or Project Fully Reviewed instead.
Can translators get new source strings in one daily message?
Source String Added runs once per string. To keep the channel quiet, send those events to a dedicated channel, or store them with WP Tables and post a list from a separate scheduled workflow.
