Connect Facebook Lead Ads and Notion

Small sales teams and agencies often run their pipeline as a Notion database: one page per lead, a status property, notes underneath. FlowMattic adds each Facebook lead to that database with the answers in the right properties, updates people who sign up twice and can pull in leads collected before the workflow existed.

When Facebook Lead Ads fires New Lead, FlowMattic runs Create Database Item in Notion with the data from that event.

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Store new Facebook leads in a Notion database

Every lead becomes a database item with name, email, phone and form answers, so the team works the pipeline in Notion instead of downloading CSV files.

Update the existing item when a lead signs up again

Find Database Item searches by email first. A Router updates the person's existing page and only creates a new one for someone new.

Give each client's lead form its own database

Agencies route each lead by form name, so every client's Notion workspace or database holds only the leads from their own campaign.

Leave a comment on the lead's page for the assigned rep

After the item is created, a comment on its page says which ad and form the lead came from, which is the first thing a rep checks before calling.

Leads gathered before you built the workflow are not left behind. Retrieve Leads pulls them once and Iterator creates an item for each.

Fill in a lead's details from its lead ID

When someone pastes a Facebook lead ID into a Notion item, the workflow fetches that lead and writes its answers into the item's properties.

Set up: leads in a Notion database

At the end, each new lead from your Facebook form is added as an item in your Notion leads database.

  1. Prepare the database

In Notion, create a database with properties such as Name, Email, Phone, Form and Status, and share it with the Notion connection.

  2. Connect both accounts

Under Connects, add Facebook Lead Ads with the account that manages your Page, and Notion with access to the leads database.

  3. Trigger on New Lead

Create a workflow with New Lead, choose the Page and form, and send a test lead so the fields are captured.

  4. Create Database Item

Add Notion Create Database Item, pick the database, map each lead field to its property, test and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Facebook Lead Ads has one trigger, New Lead, so most workflows start from Facebook. Retrieve Leads and Retrieve Lead by Lead ID cover older leads.
  • Notion only lets the connection see pages and databases that are shared with it. If the database does not appear in the step, share it first.
  • Notion properties have types. Map emails to an email property and dates to a date property, or the value may be rejected.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Facebook Lead Ads and Notion connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Your pipeline stays in Notion

Leads arrive as pages the team can assign, comment on and move through a status board they already use.

Lead details stay on your server

Names and phone numbers go from Facebook to Notion through your own WordPress site, not another company's automation account.

Campaign size does not matter

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a lead form that brings in thousands of leads costs the same as one that brings in ten.

Common questions

How do I send Facebook leads to Notion?

Create a workflow with the Facebook Lead Ads New Lead trigger, pick your Page and form, then add Notion Create Database Item and map each answer to a property in your leads database.

Why can't I see my Notion database in the step?

Notion connections only see what is shared with them. Open the database in Notion, share it with the connection you added under Connects, and reload the list in the step.

Can I avoid duplicate pages for repeat leads?

Yes. Search with Find Database Item on the email property, then use a Router to run Update Database Item for known leads and Create Database Item for new ones.

Can I bring in leads from before I set this up?

Yes. Run Retrieve Leads for the form, loop over the result with Iterator and create an item for each. Run it once, then let New Lead handle new ones.
