Fluent Forms gathers requests, applications and feedback on your WordPress site, and Notion is where many teams keep the list they work from. FlowMattic files each entry in a Notion database or as a page, can sort and tidy it with AI on the way, and can even check Notion before showing the visitor a response.

When Fluent Forms fires New Form Submission, FlowMattic runs Create Database Item in Notion with the data from that event.

Fluent Forms and Notion workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Save each Fluent Forms entry as a Notion database item
Requests, applications or bookings land in a Notion database with each answer in its own property, so the team filters and assigns them in views they already use.

Let AI set a category and priority before filing
An AI Agent reads the message, picks a category and a priority and writes a one-line summary, then the entry is filed in Notion with those properties set.
Find Database Item searches by email. A Router updates the existing client item with the new answers or creates one for a first-time client, so each client has a single row.
New Form Submission→Find Database Item→Router→Update Database Item
Open a brief page for every paid order
When a payment form is paid, a Notion page is created with the buyer, package and answers, ready for the person who does the work to plan it.
New Payment Submission (Pro)→Create Page
Check a Notion guest list before confirming registration
The form's email is looked up in your Notion guest list, and Set Custom Response shows the visitor a confirmation or a message that they are not on the list.
New Form Submission→Find Database Item→Set Custom Response
Add documentation feedback as comments on the right page
A feedback form on your docs sends the page title with each entry. The workflow finds that Notion page and adds the feedback as a comment where the writer will see it.
New Form Submission→Find Page (By Title)→Create Comment on page
At the end, every entry to your chosen form is added as an item in a Notion database.
1
Build the database
In Notion, create a database with a property for each form field you want to keep, such as Name, Email, Topic and Message.
2
Connect Notion
Under Connects, add a Notion connection. Fluent Forms runs on the same WordPress site as FlowMattic, so it needs no connection.
3
Pick the form
Start a workflow with Fluent Forms' New Form Submission, choose the form and submit a test entry.
4
Map the item
Add Notion's Create Database Item, choose the database, map the form fields to properties, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Set Custom Response and Redirect to Custom URL only make sense while a visitor is submitting the form, so use them in workflows that start from a Fluent Forms trigger.
New Payment Submission (Pro) needs Fluent Forms Pro with payments set up on the form.
Field and property names depend on your form and database, so the mapping above is an example.
New Database ItemTriggers when a new item is created in a database
Updated Database ItemTriggers when an item in a selected database is updated

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Fluent Forms and Notion connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Entries leave from your own site
Fluent Forms and FlowMattic share your WordPress install, so entries go straight from your server to Notion.
The form can read Notion
With Find Database Item and Set Custom Response, what the visitor sees after submitting can depend on what is in your Notion database.
No limit on entries
Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a busy form costs the same as a quiet one.
Common questions
Can each entry become a Notion page instead of a database item?
Yes. Use Create Page with a parent page you choose, and write the answers into the page content. Database items are easier to filter, pages are better for long briefs.
Can a Notion change send something back to the visitor?
Not through Fluent Forms, whose actions only work during a submission. Start a separate workflow from Updated Database Item and send an email with an Email (SMTP) step.
Can I send visitors to a different page based on Notion data?
Yes. After Find Database Item, use a Router and Redirect to Custom URL on each path, for example to a members page or a waiting list page.
Can uploaded files go into Notion?
You can map the file URL from an upload field into a URL or text property, so the item links to the file stored on your site.
