Connect Jotform and ClickUp

Teams use Jotform to take in requests, briefs and onboarding answers, and ClickUp to do the work. FlowMattic connects the two from your WordPress site: each submission becomes a task, a list for a new client or a comment on a job already in progress, filed in the right place with the answers attached.

Jotform and ClickUp workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create a ClickUp task from each Jotform submission

Service, design or IT request forms land on the team's list as tasks with the requester's answers in the description, so nobody copies details out of an email notification.

Set up a list for each new client from an onboarding form

Agencies send new clients an onboarding form. The answers create a ClickUp list named after the client and a first kickoff task, so the project space exists before the first call.

Send each request type to the team that owns it

A Router reads the department or request type the person picked and creates the task in that team's list, so marketing, IT and finance each see only their own work.

Add a checklist built from the form's answers

For new starter or equipment forms, the task gets a checklist with one item per thing requested, such as laptop, email account and access card, so progress is visible at a glance.

Split multi-item orders into subtasks

When one submission asks for several deliverables, an Iterator loops over them and creates a subtask for each under the main task, so each piece can be assigned separately.

Post client approval answers as a task comment

Send clients a sign-off form with the task ID in a hidden field. Their approval or change request is posted as a comment on that task, where the designer will see it.

Set up: each submission as a task

By the last step, every new submission on your form creates a task in the ClickUp list you choose.

  1. Connect Jotform and ClickUp

Add both accounts under Connects in FlowMattic.

  2. Pick the form

Start with the Jotform New Form Submission trigger, choose your form and submit a test entry so the answers are captured.

  3. Create the task

Add a ClickUp step with Create Task, choose the space, folder and list, then map the answers into the task name and description.

  4. Test and turn on

Test the step, open the new task in ClickUp to check it, then switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Jotform gives FlowMattic a submission trigger only, so ClickUp changes cannot edit a Jotform form or its answers.
  • Answer names follow the questions on your form. The mapping above is an example; submit a new test entry after you edit the form.
  • To comment on an existing task, the form needs that task's ID, for example in a hidden field filled from the link you send.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Jotform and ClickUp connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Requests arrive as real tasks

Each submission becomes a task, list, checklist or comment in ClickUp, so the request is tracked where the work happens.

No limit on request volume

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a team that takes hundreds of requests a week pays nothing extra.

Data passes through your site

Workflows run on your own WordPress server, so answers move from Jotform to ClickUp without an outside automation service in between.

Common questions

What does the Jotform ClickUp integration do?

It turns Jotform submissions into ClickUp work: new tasks, lists for new clients, checklists, subtasks or comments on existing tasks. You choose the list and map the answers on the FlowMattic workflow builder.

Can I assign the task based on an answer?

Yes. Use a Router on the answer, such as region or service, and give each path its own Create Task step set up for the right list and assignee.

Can file uploads from Jotform reach ClickUp?

Jotform passes uploaded files as links. Put those links in the task description so the team can open them from the task.

Can ClickUp tell the requester when a task is done?

ClickUp triggers such as Task Status Updated can start a separate workflow, for example sending an Email (SMTP) message to the requester's address stored in the task.

Will a test submission create a real task?

Testing the Create Task step creates a task in the list you picked, so use a test list while you set things up and switch to the real list before going live.
