Many teams track work in ClickUp and write docs and specs in Notion. FlowMattic connects the two so tasks, statuses, comments and goals appear where the other half of the team looks, and requests logged in Notion turn into ClickUp tasks. Each workflow runs on your WordPress site and can be tested step by step before it goes live.

ClickUp and Notion workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Add each new ClickUp task to a Notion database
Every task created in ClickUp gets a matching item with its name, list, assignee and due date, so people who plan in Notion see the work without a ClickUp seat.
When a task's status changes, Find Database Item locates its row by task ID and Update Database Item sets the new status, so the Notion view never shows stale work.
Task Status Updated→Find Database Item→Update Database Item
Turn Notion requests into ClickUp tasks
Stakeholders add requests to a Notion database. Each new item becomes a task in the right ClickUp list, with a link back to the Notion page for the detail.
New Database Item→Create Task

Send incoming work to each department's own tool
A webhook from your intake form is routed by department. Marketing and operations get ClickUp tasks while product requests land in Notion, and each request is filed once.
When someone comments on a ClickUp task, the workflow finds the Notion page with the same title and adds the comment there, so decisions are recorded next to the spec.
Task Comment Posted→Find Page (By Title)→Create Comment on page
Start a Notion planning page for every new goal
A goal created in ClickUp opens a Notion page with its name, owner and due date, where the team can write the reasoning and track key results in prose.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Save the ClickUp task ID in a Notion property when you create the item. The status and comment workflows use it to find the right row.
If tasks flow both ways, a task created from Notion will also fire Task Created. Use a Filter on a property such as source so the item is not copied back.
Notion has two triggers, for new and updated database items, so Notion-side workflows start from a database rather than a plain page.
New Database ItemTriggers when a new item is created in a database
Updated Database ItemTriggers when an item in a selected database is updated
Actions (7)
Create Database ItemCreates an item in a database
Update Database ItemUpdates a database item
Get Database DetailsGet details of a specific database
Find Database ItemSearches for an item in a database by property
Create PageCreates a Page inside a parent page
Find Page (By Title)Searches for a page by title

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
ClickUp and Notion connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Each team keeps its own tool
Builders stay in ClickUp and writers stay in Notion, and the workflows copy only what the other side needs.
Dozens of triggers to choose from
ClickUp reports tasks, comments, time tracked, lists, folders and goals, so you can sync exactly the events that matter.
No task counting
Runs are unlimited and run on your WordPress server, so syncing every status change costs nothing extra.
Common questions
Is this a two-way sync between ClickUp and Notion?
You can build both directions as separate workflows: ClickUp triggers write to Notion, and Notion's New Database Item or Updated Database Item can create tasks in ClickUp. Add a Filter so changes do not bounce back and forth.
Can I copy time tracked into Notion for billing?
Yes. Task Time Tracked Updated fires when tracked time changes. Find the item by task ID and set an hours property with Update Database Item.
Can a Notion item create a checklist in ClickUp?
Yes. After Create Task, add Create Checklist and Create Checklist Item steps, using an Iterator if the Notion item lists several steps.
Can I remove the Notion row when a task is deleted?
Not directly, because Notion has no delete action here. Start from Task Deleted and use Update Database Item to mark the row as deleted or archived instead.
