Connect Typeform and ClickUp

Requests, briefs and bug reports often arrive through a Typeform and then need someone to copy them into ClickUp. FlowMattic does that copy for you from your WordPress site: each response becomes a task in the right list, with subtasks, a checklist, a comment on an existing task or tracked time, depending on what the form is for.

Typeform and ClickUp workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create a ClickUp task from every Typeform response

Service requests or content ideas sent through a form land as tasks with the answers in the description, so the team picks them up in ClickUp without retyping.

Send bugs and feature requests to different lists

One feedback form asks what kind of report it is. A Router files bugs in the engineering list and feature ideas in the product backlog.

Add a subtask for each deliverable the client picks

A project brief form lets clients tick deliverables. The main task is created, then Iterator adds a subtask for each item ticked, so the job is split before anyone starts.

Build an onboarding checklist from a client questionnaire

A new-client questionnaire creates the onboarding task and adds a checklist with items for access, assets and kickoff, so account managers follow the same steps every time.

Post client approval answers as a task comment

Send a review form with the task ID as a hidden field. The client's approval or change notes are posted as a comment on that task, where the designer will see them.

Rewrite loose requests into clear tasks with AI

An AI Agent turns a rambling request into a short task title, a tidy description and a suggested priority before Create Task, so the list reads well at a glance.

Log hours on a task from a timesheet form

Freelancers or field staff fill in a short timesheet with the task ID and hours. The time is added to that ClickUp task, with no need to open ClickUp on site.

New Form SubmissionTime Tracked

Set up: a task from every response

When you finish, each new Typeform response creates a task in the ClickUp list you choose.

  1. Connect both apps

Add a Typeform connection and a ClickUp connection under Connects.

  2. Start from New Form Submission

Create a workflow with the Typeform New Form Submission trigger, choose the form and send a test response so FlowMattic captures the answers.

  3. Add Create Task

Add a ClickUp step with Create Task, pick the workspace, space and list, and map the answers into the task name and description.

  4. Test and switch on

Test the step, open the new task in ClickUp to check it, then switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Typeform has no actions in FlowMattic, so ClickUp triggers such as Task Status Updated cannot write back to a form. Workflows here start from a response.
  • Post Task Comment and Time Tracked need a ClickUp task ID. Pass it into the form as a hidden field in the form link.
  • Answers are named by your questions, so the mapping above is an example.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Typeform and ClickUp connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Forms turn straight into work

Responses become tasks, subtasks and checklists in the lists your team already uses, instead of a notification someone has to copy.

Request floods cost the same

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a busy intake form adds no automation cost however many tasks it creates.

Answers pass through your server

Each response is handled on your own WordPress site on its way to ClickUp, not inside a separate automation account.

Common questions

What does the Typeform ClickUp integration do?

It turns each Typeform response into ClickUp work: a new task, subtasks, a checklist, a comment on a task or a time entry. You choose the list and map the answers on the FlowMattic builder in WordPress.

Can responses go to different ClickUp lists?

Yes. Add a Router after the trigger and give each path its own Create Task step pointed at a different list.

Can a response update a task that already exists?

ClickUp's actions here add to a task rather than edit its fields. Use Post Task Comment, Add Tag to Task or Time Tracked with the task ID from a hidden field.

Can file uploads from Typeform reach the task?

Uploads arrive as links. Map them into the task description or a comment so the team can open the files from ClickUp.

Can I assign the task based on an answer?

Yes. Use a Router on the answer, such as a service or region, with a Create Task step per path, each set to a different assignee.
