Some leads still arrive as plain emails: portal notifications, forwarded enquiries, booking confirmations or replies you BCC. Email Parser gives you an address that reads each message, and FluentCRM on the same WordPress site files the sender as a contact with the notes, tags and sequences you choose.

1. TriggerEmail Received

When Email Parser fires Email Received, FlowMattic runs Create or Update Contact in FluentCRM with the data from that event.
You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps
Email Parser and FluentCRM workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Create or update a FluentCRM contact from each email
Forward enquiries to the parser address and the sender's name and email land in FluentCRM, updating the existing contact when that person is already there.
BCC the parser address on emails you send to prospects. The workflow finds the contact by email and adds the subject and body as a note, so the CRM shows the whole conversation.
Email Received→Get Contact by Email→Add Note to Contact
Read lead notification emails from listing portals
Directory and marketplace sites often send leads as a formatted email. An AI Agent pulls the name, phone and request out of the body before FluentCRM stores them as a contact.
Email Received (v2)→AI Agent→Create or Update Contact
Tag contacts by the address or subject they wrote to
Point support, sales and partner mail at the parser. A Router reads the subject and adds the matching tag, so FluentCRM segments know who wrote about what.
Email Received (v2)→Create or Update Contact→Router→Add Tags to Contact
Honour unsubscribe requests that come in by email
People still reply asking to be removed. A Filter checks the subject or body for the request and Update Contact Status marks that sender unsubscribed in FluentCRM.
Email Received→Filter→Update Contact Status
Start a follow-up sequence from booking confirmations
When an outside booking tool emails you a confirmation, the guest becomes a contact and joins the FluentCRM sequence that sends directions and a reminder before the visit.
Email Received (v2)→Create or Update Contact→Add Subscriber to Sequence
Record offline orders from receipt emails
Orders from a marketplace or till that only email a receipt can still count. Number Formatter cleans the total and Add Purchase to Contact adds it to the buyer's history.
Email Received→Number Formatter→Add Purchase to Contact
Set up: a contact from each email
At the end, every email sent to your parser address creates or updates a FluentCRM contact for its sender.
1
Start with Email Received
Create a workflow, choose Email Parser and the Email Received trigger, and copy the parser email address FlowMattic shows.
2
Send a test email
Forward a real enquiry to that address so FlowMattic captures the sender, subject and body fields.
3
Add the FluentCRM step
Add FluentCRM Create or Update Contact. FluentCRM runs on the same site, so no extra connection is needed.
4
Map and switch on
Map the sender's name and email, pick the list, tags and status, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Email Parser only has triggers, so these workflows always start from an incoming email. FluentCRM events cannot send mail into the parser.
Someone who emails you has not opted in to newsletters. Set the contact status in Create or Update Contact to match the consent you actually have.
When you forward mail, the sender becomes you. Have the original sender's address extracted from the body, or set up automatic forwarding so the sender is kept.
Add Note to Contact and Add Tags to Contact need an existing contact, so look it up or create it first in the same workflow.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Email Parser and FluentCRM connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Old email habits feed the CRM
Partners and portals that only send email still reach FluentCRM without anyone copying details from the inbox.
Both halves live in WordPress
Email Parser is part of FlowMattic and FluentCRM is a WordPress plugin, so parsed mail goes into your contact table on your own server.
Unlimited emails, no task bill
Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a shared inbox that forwards hundreds of messages a day costs no more than one.
Common questions
How do I add contacts to FluentCRM from incoming emails?
Create a workflow with the Email Parser Email Received trigger, send a test email to the address it gives you, then add a FluentCRM Create or Update Contact step and map the sender's email and name.
Can I pull a phone number out of the email body?
Yes. Add an AI Agent step that reads the body and returns the fields you ask for, such as phone, company and request. Map its answers into the FluentCRM contact or custom fields.
What is the difference between Email Received and Email Received (v2)?
Each trigger listens on its own parser address. Choose one when you build the workflow and send mail to the address it shows. The FluentCRM steps after it work the same either way.
Will a repeat sender create a duplicate contact?
No, when you use Create or Update Contact. FluentCRM matches on email, so a second message updates the existing contact and the note or tag steps add to the same record.
Can I send an email from FluentCRM in reply?
Yes. After the contact is created, add Send Email to Contact or Send Email by Template so the sender gets an acknowledgement from your FluentCRM setup.
