Connect Typeform and Monday.com

Turn each Typeform response into work on a Monday.com board. Requests become items in the right group, the full answers sit in the item's updates, deliverables become subitems and uploaded files land in a file column. FlowMattic runs the workflow on your WordPress site, so teams who take briefs, orders or applications through Typeform can start work on the board.

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create a Monday.com item for each Typeform response

Every brief, request or application becomes an item on the board, with key answers in columns, so the team works it like any other task.

Add the full answers to the item as an update

Long answers do not fit in board columns. Posting them as the item's first update keeps the whole response with the task while the columns stay readable.

Put each request type in its own group

A Router reads the request type question. Design, content and development requests are created in their own groups, so each team lead sees only their part of the board.

Update the existing item when a client submits again

Look for an item with the respondent's email in a column first. A returning client's answers update that item's columns, and only new clients get a new item.

Turn a list of deliverables into subitems

When a brief form asks which deliverables the client needs, an Iterator walks the chosen options and creates one subitem each under the project item, ready to assign.

Attach uploaded files to the item's file column

Logos, photos or CVs uploaded in Typeform are added to a file column on the new item, so nobody has to download them from the response and upload them again.

Set the due date from the deadline question

Typeform returns dates in its own format. A Date/Time Formatter turns the answer into the format the board's date column expects before the item is created.

Set up: an item for each response

At the end, each response to the Typeform you choose creates an item on your Monday.com board.

  1. Connect Typeform

Under Connects, add a Typeform connection with the account that owns the form.

  2. Connect Monday.com

Add a Monday.com connection with an account that can create items on the board you want to fill.

  3. Capture a response

Create a workflow with Typeform New Form Submission, choose the form and submit a test response so the answers are available.

  4. Create the item

Add Monday.com Create Item, pick the board and group, use the name answer as the item name, map other answers to columns, test and switch on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • Each workflow starts from a Typeform response, so data moves from Typeform to Monday.com only. Board events cannot change or create a form response.
  • Answers depend on your form's questions, so the mapping is an example. Status and dropdown columns need answers that match the labels on the board.
  • Monday.com triggers such as Status Changes to a Specific Value can start a second workflow once the item is on the board, for example to email the client.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

Typeform and Monday.com connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Work starts on the board, not in an inbox

Each response becomes an item with an owner and a status, so requests are tracked from the moment they arrive.

Answers arrive in the right shape

Formatters, routers and iterators prepare dates, groups and subitems first, so the board looks as if someone filled it in by hand.

Same price at any response volume

FlowMattic runs on your own WordPress site with unlimited runs, so a busy intake form adds no per-task cost.

Common questions

Can each Typeform question go to a different Monday.com column?

Yes. In the Create Item step, each column on the board can take any answer from the response. Text, numbers, email, date and status columns all work, as long as the values match what the column accepts.

Can responses go to different boards?

Yes. Use a Router on one of the answers and give each path its own Create Item step with a different board, or build one workflow per form.

How do I stop the same client from creating several items?

Add Get Item by Column Value to search the email column first. A Router then updates the item that is found with Change Multiple Columns Value or creates a new item when none exists.

Can I add the respondent's files to the item?

Yes. After Create Item, add Upload File to Specific Column and pass it the file answer from Typeform. Pick a file column on the board to hold it.

Can I notify someone when the item is created?

Yes. Add an email step or a chat app after Create Item in the same workflow, or start a separate workflow from the Monday.com Item Creation trigger.
