Some teams plan on a Monday.com board while the people doing the work live in ClickUp. FlowMattic connects the two from your WordPress site: new items become ClickUp tasks, ClickUp progress flows back to the board, and comments follow along. It suits agencies with client boards, and companies where two departments picked different tools.

Monday.com and ClickUp workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Create a ClickUp task for each new Monday.com item
Requests logged on the planning board land in the delivery team's ClickUp list with the name, owner and due date, so nobody copies cards between tools.
Items stay on the board while they are being scoped. When the status column changes to a value such as Ready for build, the task is created in ClickUp and the ClickUp task ID is written back to a column on the item.
Status Changes to a Specific Value→Create Task→Change Multiple Columns Value
Report ClickUp status changes back to the client board
Clients and managers who only open Monday.com still see progress. Find the item by the stored task ID, then set its status column to match the new ClickUp status.
Task Status Updated→Get Item by Column Value→Change Multiple Columns Value
Post Monday.com updates as ClickUp task comments
When an account manager writes an update on the item, read the stored task ID and post the text as a comment, so the person doing the work sees the client's note where they work.
New Update Posted→Get Column Values→Post Task Comment
Turn subitems into ClickUp subtasks under the right parent
Breakdowns made on the board carry over. Look up the parent item's task ID column and create the subitem as a subtask in ClickUp.
Subitem Created→Get Column Values→Create Sub Task
Add ClickUp tasks tagged for the board as new items
Work that starts in ClickUp, such as a bug found by the developers, can appear on the client board too. A Filter passes only tasks carrying the tag you choose.
Task Created→Filter→Create Item
Set up: new items as ClickUp tasks
At the end, every item created on the board you pick appears as a task in one ClickUp list.
1
Add a task ID column
On the Monday.com board, add a text column for the ClickUp task ID. The two-way examples need it to find the matching record later.
2
Connect both accounts
Under Connects, add your Monday.com account and a ClickUp account that can create tasks in the target list.
3
Start with Item Creation
Create a workflow with the Monday.com Item Creation trigger, choose the board and add a test item so FlowMattic captures its columns.
4
Add Create Task
Add ClickUp Create Task, choose the space, folder and list, then map the item name, description and due date.
5
Write the ID back and switch on
Add Change Multiple Columns Value to store the new task ID on the item, test the workflow and turn it on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Neither app knows the other's record IDs. Keep the ClickUp task ID in a Monday.com column, or the comment, subtask and status examples have nothing to match on.
If you sync in both directions, add a Filter so a change written by FlowMattic does not start the opposite workflow and bounce back and forth.
Column names and status labels are your own, so the mapping is an example. Dates may need Date/Time Formatter to match the format ClickUp expects.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Monday.com and ClickUp connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Each team keeps its own tool
Planners stay on the board and builders stay in ClickUp. FlowMattic carries items, statuses and comments between them, so neither side has to move.
Busy boards cost the same
Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a board with hundreds of moving items a week needs no bigger plan than a quiet one.
Project data stays on your server
Item and task details pass through your own WordPress site, where the same workflow can also email a client or log the handover.
Common questions
Can ClickUp tasks update the Monday.com item they came from?
Yes, as long as the item stores the ClickUp task ID. A ClickUp trigger such as Task Status Updated or Task Due Date Updated finds the item with Get Item by Column Value and changes its columns.
Will every item on the board become a task?
Only if you start from Item Creation with no conditions. To send only some items, start from Status Changes to a Specific Value or Item Moves to a Specific Group, or add a Filter on a column.
Can different groups go to different ClickUp lists?
Yes. Put a Router after the trigger with one path per group, and point each Create Task step at its own list.
What happens when an item is deleted or archived?
Item Deleted and Item Archived are triggers you can use. Read the stored task ID, then Delete Task or Update Task in ClickUp, depending on whether you want to keep the history.
Do I need the GraphQL action?
Not for these examples. Execute GraphQL Query is there for anything the ready-made Monday.com actions do not cover, such as reading a column type the other actions skip.
