Project work lives on a Monday.com board, while finance, clients or leadership often want it in Google Sheets. FlowMattic moves data between the two from your WordPress site: new items become rows, status changes update them, and rows added or edited in the sheet can create or change items on the board.

Monday.com and Google Sheets workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Add each new Monday.com item as a Google Sheets row
Every item created on the board is logged in a sheet, which gives you a backup and a shareable report for people who do not have a Monday.com seat.
Update the row when an item's status changes to Done
Lookup Row Data finds the item's row by its ID, and Update Row records the new status and the date, so the reporting sheet shows finished work without manual edits.
Status Changes to a Specific Value→Lookup Row Data→Update Row
Create board items from requests collected in a sheet
Teams that gather requests through a shared sheet turn each new row into an item on the intake board, ready to assign, without copying text across.
New Spreadsheet Row→Create Item
Change board columns when finance marks a row as paid
Finance works in the sheet and edits the Paid column. Get Item by Column Value finds the matching item and Change Multiple Columns Value updates its payment status.
Update Specific Column Value→Get Item by Column Value→Change Multiple Columns Value
Save a weekly snapshot of the board in a new tab
Every Friday the workflow reads the whole board, creates a tab named after the date and imports the data, so you can compare weeks later.
Schedule→Get Board Values→Date/Time Formatter→Create New Sheet→Import CSV or JSON to Existing Sheet
Keep a sheet of updates posted on client items
Agencies log each update their team writes on a client's items, which turns into a dated activity list to share at the monthly review.
New Update Posted→Add New Row
Set up: new items as sheet rows
When this is done, each new item on your board shows up as a row in the sheet.
1
Prepare the sheet
Add a header row that matches the board, such as Item ID, Name, Group, Status, Owner and Due date.
2
Connect both apps
In Connects, add Monday.com and a Google Sheets connection that can edit the spreadsheet.
3
Pick Item Creation
Create a workflow with the Monday.com Item Creation trigger, choose the board, and add a test item so FlowMattic captures its columns.
4
Write the row
Add Google Sheets Add New Row, map the item fields to columns, test the step and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Status Changes to a Specific Value watches one value. For several statuses, use Column Change Detected with a Router instead.
If the sheet updates the board and the board updates the sheet, each change can start the other workflow. Add a Filter so a change made by the workflow is not sent back.
Store the Monday.com item ID in a column. Later lookups and updates match on that ID far better than on item names, which people edit.
Board columns differ from board to board, so the mapping is an example. Execute GraphQL Query covers anything the other actions do not.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Monday.com and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Reports without extra seats
People who only need to read the numbers get them in Google Sheets, so you do not add board users just for reporting.
Busy boards, flat cost
Runs are unlimited, so a board with hundreds of status changes a week costs the same as a quiet one.
Your server does the work
Item data passes through your own WordPress site on its way to the sheet, not through another automation company's account.
Common questions
Can Monday.com and Google Sheets sync both ways?
Yes, with two workflows: one from a Monday.com trigger to a sheet action, and one from a sheet trigger to a Monday.com action. Add a Filter in each so a change made by one workflow does not set off the other.
Will deleted items be removed from the sheet?
You can do that with the Item Deleted trigger, Lookup Row Data and Delete Row. Many teams prefer Update Row to mark the item as deleted so the history stays in the sheet.
Can I export a whole board to Google Sheets?
Yes. Get Board Values returns every column for the board, and Import CSV or JSON to Existing Sheet writes it in one step. Run it from a Schedule for regular snapshots.
Do subitems work too?
Yes. Subitem Created, Any Subitem Column Changes and the other subitem triggers can add or update rows, and Create Subitem and Update Subitem can be driven from a sheet.
