WordPress and Mailchimp workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template Add each new WordPress user to your Mailchimp audience
Every registration on a membership, course or community site adds the person to your audience with their name, so the list grows with the site.
New User→Add New Member
View the templateTag Mailchimp members by their WordPress role
When a user's role changes, for example from subscriber to customer, a Router adds the new role's tag and removes the old one, so campaigns can target each level.
User Role Changed→Router→Add Member Tag→Remove Member Tag
Remove deleted site accounts from the audience
When an account is deleted, often because the person asked, the matching member is removed from the Mailchimp audience too, which saves a manual clean-up later.
User Deleted→Delete List Member
Record a Mailchimp unsubscribe on the user's profile
When someone unsubscribes in Mailchimp, the workflow finds their WordPress account by email and sets a user meta field, so your site and other plugins know not to email them.
New Unsubscriber→Get User by Email→Update User Meta
Flag bounced addresses on WordPress accounts
Mailchimp cleans addresses that keep bouncing. The workflow marks those users' profiles, so support knows to ask for a new email next time they log in.
Cleaned Emails→Get User by Email→Update User Meta
Copy profile changes from Mailchimp to the WordPress user
When a subscriber edits their name in Mailchimp's preference page, the matching WordPress user is updated, so the site greets them the same way your emails do.
Profile Updates→Get User by Email→Update User
Note on the member when someone comments on your blog
An approved comment adds a note to the commenter's Mailchimp member, if they are on your audience, with the post title. It shows which topics your readers care about.
