Connect WooCommerce and Telegram

Shop owners and fulfilment teams who keep Telegram open can follow the store from there. FlowMattic sends WooCommerce orders, stock warnings, reviews and new products to your Telegram groups and channels, lets you ask a bot for the day's sales, and can invite buyers to a private group, all from the WordPress site your store runs on.

1. TriggerOrder Status Set to Completed

When WooCommerce fires Order Status Set to Completed, FlowMattic runs Send a Text Message in Telegram with the data from that event.

You build this in the FlowMattic workflow builder on your own site. See the setup steps

WooCommerce and Telegram workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Tell the team on Telegram when an order is completed

Each order set to completed posts its number and customer to your Telegram group, so everyone knows what has shipped without checking the orders screen.

Send packers a pick list for every new order

A Text Formatter turns the order's items, quantities and shipping method into a short list, and Telegram sends it to the packing group as soon as the order is placed.

Warn the buyer when a product runs low

When stock hits your low stock threshold, the person who reorders gets a Telegram message with the product, SKU and quantity left, before it sells out.

Ask your Telegram bot for today's sales

Send the bot a sales command and it replies with the sales report from WooCommerce, so the owner can check takings from a phone without logging in.

Invite buyers of a membership product to a private group

When someone buys the product, Telegram creates an invite link for your private group and an email sends it to the buyer, so access comes with the purchase.

Post new products to your Telegram channel with a photo

A new product is posted to your customer channel with its main image, price and link, so subscribers see new stock without you writing a post.

A Filter lets through reviews of two stars or fewer and sends them to the support group, so someone can reply to the customer quickly.

Set up: completed orders to Telegram

When you finish, every order that reaches completed posts a message in your Telegram group.

  1. Create the bot

Create a Telegram bot, add it to your team group and keep the bot token.

  2. Connect Telegram

In FlowMattic, add the bot under Connects. WooCommerce runs on your site, so it needs no connection.

  3. Choose the trigger

Start a workflow with Order Status Set to Completed and complete a test order so FlowMattic captures its data.

  4. Send the message

Add Send a Text Message, enter the group's chat ID, write the message from the order fields, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • The bot can only post to groups and channels it has been added to, and its trigger only sees messages sent to it or in those chats.
  • For the sales bot, Filter on your own Telegram user or chat ID so strangers who find the bot cannot read your sales figures.
  • Product Low Stock uses the low stock threshold set in WooCommerce, so set it per product or store-wide first.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

WooCommerce and Telegram connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

The store reports to your phone

Over 40 WooCommerce triggers can post to Telegram, from orders and refunds to stock levels and abandoned carts.

Busy days cost the same

Runs are unlimited, so a sale that sends hundreds of order messages needs no bigger FlowMattic plan.

Order data stays on your server

Customer names and totals go from your WordPress site to Telegram directly, not through an outside automation service.

Common questions

Can each order status go to a different Telegram group?

Yes. Use Order Updated with a Router on the status, or build separate workflows from triggers like Order Status Set to Processing and Order Status Set to Refunded.

Can customers get order updates on Telegram?

Only if they have started a chat with your bot, because the bot needs their chat ID. For most stores, email or WhatsApp is the easier channel for customers.

Can I send the invoice PDF to Telegram?

Yes, if a step produces the PDF's URL, for example a PDF generator step. Pass that URL to Send a Document.

Can I hear about abandoned carts on Telegram?

Yes. New Cart Abandonment is a WooCommerce trigger, so a Send a Text Message step can tell your team which products were left behind.
