Connect TradingView and Slack

Traders and trading communities who already live in Slack can have every TradingView alert posted where the team talks. FlowMattic catches the alert on your WordPress site and turns it into a channel message, a private post, a direct message or a reminder, routed by symbol or strategy so each alert reaches the right people.

TradingView and Slack workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Post each TradingView alert to a team channel

Every alert you set on a chart becomes a message in one shared channel, so the whole desk sees the same signal with its symbol, price and note.

Send each symbol or strategy to its own channel

A Router reads the ticker or strategy name in the alert and posts crypto, forex and equities alerts in separate channels, so nobody has to scroll past markets they do not trade.

Share paid signals only in a private channel

Signal groups and small funds keep member-only alerts out of public channels by posting them in a private channel that only subscribers or partners can open.

Set a Slack reminder to review the position

An alert can mean act later rather than now. Add a reminder so you come back to the chart at the time you choose and decide with a clear head.

Show the latest signal in the channel topic

The channel topic always holds the most recent alert, so anyone who joins the channel sees the current call at the top without reading back through the history.

DM yourself only when a key level breaks

A Filter passes only alerts whose message names a level or condition you care about, and sends those as a direct message so the important ones stand out from channel noise.

Read JSON alert messages into a tidy Slack post

If you write your alert message as JSON with fields like ticker, side and price, the JSON Parser splits it so the Slack message can lay each value out on its own line.

Set up: each alert to a team channel

When you finish, every TradingView alert you point at FlowMattic is posted in the Slack channel you pick.

  1. Connect Slack

Add a Slack connection under Connects with an account that is a member of the channel you want to post in.

  2. Start from New Alert

Create a workflow with the TradingView New Alert trigger and copy the webhook address FlowMattic gives you.

  3. Point the alert at FlowMattic

In TradingView, open the alert, paste that address as its webhook URL, and write the alert message you want to see in Slack.

  4. Capture a test alert

Let the alert fire once, or trigger it with a test condition, so FlowMattic captures the message it sends.

  5. Add Send Channel Message

Add a Slack step with Send Channel Message, choose the channel, map the alert text into the message, test it and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • TradingView has no actions in FlowMattic, so workflows start from an alert and cannot create, change or cancel alerts or orders.
  • Slack has no triggers in this pair, so a Slack message cannot start a TradingView step.
  • The fields available in Slack are whatever you write in the TradingView alert message, so put the symbol, price and direction in the message itself.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

TradingView and Slack connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Alerts land where the team already talks

Signals arrive in the Slack channels your traders or members read, rather than in an inbox or a phone notification only one person sees.

Noisy markets cost the same

Runs are unlimited on every plan, so a volatile week with hundreds of alerts needs no bigger plan than a quiet one.

Your rules sit between chart and chat

Router, Filter and JSON Parser shape each alert on your own WordPress site before it reaches Slack, so every channel gets only what belongs there.

Common questions

Can I send TradingView alerts to more than one Slack channel?

Yes. Add a Router after New Alert with one path per channel, or add several Send Channel Message steps if every channel should get every alert.

Can Slack messages place trades in TradingView?

No. TradingView offers only the New Alert trigger in FlowMattic, so the data flows one way, from your charts into Slack.

What does the Slack message contain?

Whatever your TradingView alert message holds. Write the ticker, price and your note into the alert, then map that text into the Slack step in the order you like.

Can I post alerts to a private channel?

Yes. Use Send Private Channel Message and pick a private channel your connected Slack account belongs to.

Can different alerts go to different people?

Yes. Use a Router on the alert text and Send Direct Message on each path, finding each person with Find User by Email if you only know their address.
