FluentCRM knows who your contacts are and what they did with your emails. Twilio can text or ring them. FlowMattic joins the two on your WordPress site, so a tag, a bounced email or a link click can send an SMS, and an inbound text can create or update a contact in your CRM.

Twilio and FluentCRM workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Text the sales rep when a contact is tagged hot lead
The moment someone applies the hot lead tag, by hand or from a FluentCRM automation, the rep on duty gets an SMS with the contact's name, email and phone to call back.
Contact Added to Tags→Filter→Send SMS
Let people join your list by texting their email
Print a number on a flyer or a shop counter. Each incoming text is checked for an email address, which becomes a FluentCRM contact on your SMS signups list.
Incoming SMS→Text Formatter→Create or Update Contact→Add Lists to Contact
Ask for a working email address after a bounce
When FluentCRM records a bounce for a contact who has a phone number, a short SMS asks them for a current address, so a typo at signup does not lose the subscriber.
Email Bounced→Filter→Send SMS
Ring the account manager when a pricing link is clicked
A Router checks which link was clicked in a campaign. Clicks on the pricing or booking link trigger a Twilio call that reads out the contact's name to the account manager.
Email Clicked→Router→Call Phone
Send appointment reminders to a tagged group each morning
Clinics, salons and tutors tag tomorrow's bookings. A Schedule fetches contacts with that tag, texts each one a reminder and records the reminder as an event on their profile.
Schedule→Get Contact by Tag IDs→Iterator→Send SMS→Add Event to Contact
Welcome new subscribers with a text as well as an email
When a contact's status turns to subscribed and the record has a phone number, a Delay waits a few minutes and sends a friendly SMS that confirms what they signed up for.
Contact Status Change to Subscribed→Delay→Send SMS
When you finish, tagging a FluentCRM contact as a hot lead sends that contact's details to a sales phone by SMS.
1
Connect Twilio
Add a Twilio connection under Connects with your account details and the Twilio number you will send from.
2
Pick the FluentCRM trigger
FluentCRM runs on the same WordPress site, so no connection is needed. Start the workflow with Contact Added to Tags and tag a test contact to capture data.
3
Limit it to one tag
Add a Filter so the workflow continues only when the added tag is hot lead.
4
Write the SMS
Add Twilio Send SMS, enter the rep's number and build a short message from the contact fields. Test it on your own phone, then switch the workflow on.

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
FluentCRM looks contacts up by email, contact ID, user ID, tag, list, status or segment, not by phone number. Workflows that start from an Incoming SMS need the sender to include an email, or they can only create new contacts.
Twilio needs numbers in full international format. Phone fields in FluentCRM are free text, so clean them with Text Formatter before Send SMS.
Contact Added to Tags and Contact Added to Lists run for every tag or list. Add a Filter for the one you care about so other tags do not send texts.
Only text contacts who agreed to SMS. A custom field or tag for SMS consent and a Filter on it keep the rest out.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Twilio and FluentCRM connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Use the tags you already manage
Your FluentCRM tags, lists and email activity decide who gets a text, so there is no second contact list to keep in step.
Contacts never leave your site
FluentCRM is a WordPress plugin and FlowMattic runs beside it. Only the SMS itself goes out to Twilio from your own server.
Reminder runs cost nothing extra
FlowMattic does not charge per run, so a daily reminder loop over hundreds of contacts adds only Twilio's own message cost.
Common questions
Can FluentCRM send an SMS through Twilio?
Yes. Any FluentCRM trigger, such as a new tag, a list signup or an email click, can start a FlowMattic workflow that ends with Twilio Send SMS. You choose the number and write the message from the contact's fields.
Can an inbound text update an existing contact?
Only when the text carries the contact's email address, because FluentCRM finds contacts by email rather than phone. With the email, Create or Update Contact updates the existing record instead of making a duplicate.
Can I log every SMS I send in the contact's timeline?
Yes. After Send SMS, add Add Note to Contact or Add Event to Contact with the message text, so anyone opening the contact in FluentCRM sees that a text went out and when.
Can a call be placed instead of a text?
Yes. Call Phone rings a number and reads out a message you write, which suits urgent alerts to staff. For customers, a text is usually the better choice.
Can I stop texting people who unsubscribe?
Yes. Add a Filter on the contact's status before the Twilio step, or use Contact Status Change to Unsubscribed to remove an SMS tag so later workflows skip them.
