Does ChatGPT see my whole Airtable base?

No. Only the fields you put into the prompt of the OpenAI step are sent, one record at a time.

Can it update existing records, not just new ones?

Yes, but not from a trigger, because New Record is Airtable's only one. Use the Schedule trigger with Search Record by View or Get All Records, loop with Iterator and write back with Update Record.

Can the generated draft become a WordPress post?

Yes. The workflow library has a template that takes a new Airtable record, writes the article with Generate Content and creates a WordPress post from it.

Which OpenAI actions work with Airtable?

Any of them. Text actions such as Generate Content and Ask Chat GPT suit descriptions and outlines, Analyze Image and Create Transcription read attached files, and Create Moderation checks text.

How do I stop the AI from overwriting good content?

Write the answer into its own field, and add a Filter so the step runs only when that field is empty.
