Connect MailerLite and FluentCRM

Many WordPress sites run FluentCRM on the site and MailerLite for newsletters, or are moving from one to the other. FlowMattic keeps the two in step from your own server: new subscribers, unsubscribes, groups, lists and tags flow in either direction, so neither tool emails someone who has asked to stop.

MailerLite and FluentCRM workflows you can build

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Copy each new MailerLite subscriber into FluentCRM

People who join through MailerLite forms or imports become FluentCRM contacts with their name and fields, so your WordPress CRM has the full list.

Mirror MailerLite unsubscribes in FluentCRM

When someone opts out in MailerLite, their marketing tags come off in FluentCRM and their status changes to unsubscribed, so the on-site CRM respects the same choice.

Match MailerLite groups to FluentCRM lists

A Lookup Table pairs each MailerLite group with its FluentCRM list, so a subscriber added to the Webinars group lands in the Webinars list without a separate workflow per group.

Send FluentCRM tagged contacts to a MailerLite group

When a contact gets a tag such as customer in FluentCRM, the subscriber is created or updated in MailerLite and placed in the matching group for your newsletter.

Unsubscribe and note spam complaints

A spam complaint in MailerLite sets the FluentCRM contact to unsubscribed and adds a note with the date, so nobody on your team adds them back by mistake.

Hand finished MailerLite automations to a FluentCRM sequence

When a subscriber completes a MailerLite onboarding automation, they are enrolled in a FluentCRM sequence for the next stage, such as an offer for a course on your site.

Set up: new subscribers into FluentCRM

You will end up with every new MailerLite subscriber created or updated as a FluentCRM contact.

  1. Connect MailerLite

Add your MailerLite account under Connects in FlowMattic. FluentCRM runs on the same WordPress site and needs no connection.

  2. Trigger on new subscribers

Start a workflow with MailerLite Subscriber Created and add a test subscriber so FlowMattic captures the fields.

  3. Create or update the contact

Add FluentCRM Create or Update Contact, map email, first name and last name, and choose the lists or tags new contacts should get.

  4. Test and turn on

Test the step, find the contact in FluentCRM and switch the workflow on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • When you sync in both directions, a change in one app can trigger a write back from the other. Use a Filter or a dedicated tag to stop the loop.
  • MailerLite groups and FluentCRM lists have different IDs, so map them with a Lookup Table instead of typing names into each step.
  • Custom fields must exist in both apps before you map them, otherwise the value has nowhere to go.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

MailerLite and FluentCRM connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Consent agrees in both tools

Unsubscribes, bounces and spam complaints in MailerLite can update FluentCRM as they happen, so one tool never mails a person the other has lost.

A gentle way to switch

If you are moving between the two, run both side by side with synced contacts until you are ready, then turn off the old one.

Your list on your server

FluentCRM lives in WordPress and FlowMattic runs there too, so subscriber data moves without an outside automation service and with unlimited runs.

Common questions

Can I sync MailerLite and FluentCRM both ways?

Yes. MailerLite triggers such as Subscriber Created can write to FluentCRM, and FluentCRM triggers such as Contact Added to Tags can write to MailerLite. Guard against loops with a Filter or a sync tag.

Can I import my existing MailerLite list into FluentCRM?

Yes. Run a workflow with Get Group Subscribers for each group, loop over the result with Iterator and use Create or Update Contact for each person.

What happens when a MailerLite email bounces?

Subscriber Bounced can start a workflow that updates the FluentCRM contact's status or adds a bounced tag, so the address is kept out of your on-site sends.

Can FluentCRM trigger a MailerLite campaign?

MailerLite has a Send Campaign action, so a FluentCRM event or a Schedule can send a new MailerLite campaign. For an email to one contact, FluentCRM's Send Email to Contact is the closer fit.
