Connect HubSpot CRM and Google Sheets

Sales teams often collect leads, event lists and returns in Google Sheets long before they reach HubSpot CRM. FlowMattic takes rows from a sheet and turns them into HubSpot contacts, deals and tickets, then keeps the sheet updated with the IDs and stages that come back. It runs from your WordPress site, with no CSV imports.

When Google Sheets fires New Spreadsheet Row, FlowMattic runs Create Contact in HubSpot CRM with the data from that event.

Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.

Create a HubSpot contact from each new row

Leads typed in at a stand or shared by a partner become HubSpot contacts as soon as the row is added, so nobody imports a file at the end of the week.

Open a deal when a row is marked qualified

A rep sets the Stage column to Qualified, a Filter checks the value, and HubSpot gets a new deal. The deal ID is saved back into the row.

Enrich webhook leads with AI before they reach HubSpot

An AI Agent step adds a likely industry and company size to each captured lead, the contact is created in HubSpot and a row keeps a log.

Raise a HubSpot ticket for each return in the log

Warehouse staff log returns in a sheet. Each new row opens a HubSpot ticket so the service team has the case on the customer's timeline.

Refresh deal stages in the sheet every morning

A daily run reads each row's deal ID, gets the deal from HubSpot and writes the current stage and amount back, keeping a forecast sheet honest.

Update contact details from corrections in the sheet

When someone fixes a phone number or job title in the sheet, the HubSpot contact with the stored ID gets the same change.

Set up: rows to HubSpot contacts

At the end, each new row in your lead sheet creates a contact in HubSpot CRM.

  1. Lay out the sheet

Use headers such as Email, First name, Last name, Company, Phone and HubSpot ID.

  2. Connect both apps

In FlowMattic, open Connects and add HubSpot CRM and Google Sheets connections.

  3. Trigger on new rows

Create a workflow with New Spreadsheet Row, choose the sheet and add a test lead.

  4. Create the contact

Add HubSpot CRM Create Contact and map the columns to contact properties.

  5. Save the ID

Add Update Cell Data to write the new contact ID into the HubSpot ID column, test and switch on.

Triggers and actions in this pair

A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.

Good to know

  • HubSpot CRM has no triggers in FlowMattic, so HubSpot changes do not start workflows. Read them back on a Schedule with Get Contact or Get Deal.
  • Update and Get actions need the HubSpot record ID, so store it in the sheet when the record is created.
  • Writing the ID back to the sheet you watch can start the workflow again if you use New Or Updated Spreadsheet Row, so use New Spreadsheet Row for creation.
  • Property names depend on your HubSpot account, so the mapping above is an example. Custom properties appear once they exist in HubSpot.

Why run this pair with FlowMattic

HubSpot CRM and Google Sheets connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.

Sheets stay the team's workspace

Reps and event staff keep using a sheet, while HubSpot still gets every contact, deal and ticket.

Lead data stays on your route

Rows move from Google to HubSpot through your own WordPress server, not another automation account.

Bulk work without bulk fees

Runs are unlimited, so refreshing hundreds of deals every morning costs nothing extra.

Common questions

Can HubSpot changes update my sheet automatically?

HubSpot CRM has no triggers in FlowMattic, so use a Schedule. Read the IDs from the sheet, fetch each record with Get Contact or Get Deal and write the result with Update Row.

How do I avoid duplicate contacts?

Keep the HubSpot ID in the sheet. A Router can check that column and run Update Contact when an ID is present and Create Contact when it is empty.

Can a row create a contact and a deal together?

Yes. Run Create Contact, then Create Deal in the same workflow, and save both IDs in the row with Update Cell Data.

Can I add new contacts to a HubSpot list?

Yes. Add Contact To List after Create Contact puts the person on a static list, for example one per event or campaign.

Do I need a paid HubSpot plan?

FlowMattic uses the HubSpot connection you add. Which objects you can create, such as tickets, depends on what your HubSpot account includes.
