Fluent Forms collects the entry on your WordPress site and Airtable is where your team sorts, assigns and tracks it. FlowMattic creates a record for every submission, sends different forms or answers to different tables, logs payments, and can even tell the visitor their reference number or send them to the right page once the record is saved.

Fluent Forms and Airtable workflows you can build
Each one uses only triggers and actions the two integrations ship today, plus FlowMattic's own tools. Where the library has a ready-made template, import it instead of building from scratch.
Ready-made template
Create an Airtable record for each Fluent Forms entry
Applications, bookings and requests go straight into a base your team already uses, with views, filters and assignees instead of an email thread.
After the record is created, Set Custom Response replaces the success message with the record ID, which the visitor can quote when they get in touch.
New Form Submission→Create Record→Set Custom Response
Log paid form submissions in an Orders table
Payment forms for deposits, tickets or donations add a record with the amount formatted as a number, so totals and roll-ups in Airtable add up.
New Payment Submission (Pro)→Number Formatter→Create Record
Send bug reports and feature ideas to separate tables
One feedback form asks what kind of message it is. A Router creates the record in the Bugs table or the Ideas table, so each team works from its own list.
New Form Submission→Router→Create Record
Let clients update their project brief from a form
Send clients a form link with their record ID in a hidden field. The workflow reads the record and updates it with the new answers instead of adding a duplicate.
New Form Submission→Get Record→Update Record
Redirect qualified leads to your booking page
The record is saved for everyone. A Router then sends visitors with a budget above your minimum to the booking page and everyone else to a resources page.
New Form Submission→Create Record→Router→Redirect to Custom URL

Triggers and actions in this pair
A trigger starts a workflow. An action is something FlowMattic does in the app as a step.
Good to know
Set Custom Response and Redirect to Custom URL change what the visitor sees after submitting, so they only make sense in workflows that start from a Fluent Forms submission.
New Payment Submission (Pro) needs Fluent Forms Pro with a payment form.
Field names come from your form, so the mapping is an example. Map what the test entry captures.
Airtable New Record can start other workflows, but Fluent Forms has no action that a new record could run here.
Search RecordSearch for records using a filter formula
Search Record by ViewSearch for records filtered by a specific view
Delete RecordDelete an existing record
Why run this pair with FlowMattic
Fluent Forms and Airtable connect through FlowMattic on your own site, with no separate automation account in the middle and no charge per run.
Entries go from your site to your base
Form data moves from your WordPress server to Airtable directly, without another automation service keeping a copy.
Every entry, no extra fees
Runs are unlimited, so a form with thousands of entries a month costs the same as one with a few.
The visitor sees the result
Custom responses and redirects let the form react to what the workflow did, so the visitor sees their reference number or lands on the right next page.
Common questions
Can Fluent Forms send entries to Airtable without code?
Yes. In FlowMattic, choose the Fluent Forms New Form Submission trigger, add Airtable Create Record and map the fields. The workflow is built on the FlowMattic canvas in wp-admin.
Can file uploads reach Airtable?
Map the upload field's URL to an Airtable field. Check the test entry to see what the field holds, then choose a URL or attachment field in Airtable to match.
Can one form fill several tables?
Yes. Add more Create Record steps for other tables, or use a Router so each entry goes to one table based on an answer.
Can a visitor update an existing record?
Yes, if the form knows the record ID, usually from a hidden field filled by a personal link. Get Record checks it exists and Update Record writes the new answers.
